The outcome of the vote upon the following issues was: Class color- navy blue and white, class flower-white rose, and class motto-Tonight we launch; where shall we anchor. Proud we were at the startling success of the Fall Carnival at which two juniors, Rich Carman and Myrna Wunchell, were co-chairmen. The results of their work were excellent. Out of five Sno-Ball candidates, three were junior girls. Verna Randall- Varsity Club, Mary Ellyn Bowman-Student Council, Phyllis Sharrow-Junior Class. And Phyllis, the “52 Houghton Lake Queen” made a good showing in the finals at the Grayling Winter Festival. Through the year, the members of the junior class were active in sports and quite a few earned letters. “Clementine” the class play, starred Paula Weber. This light comedy went over big. Important was the fact that a large sum of much-needed money went into the treasury for ticket sales and advertisements.
