Al Cambridge and Fred Baumgartner, who guided most of the work as co-editors; Joy Ennis and Clarice Barrett, whose bobcat drawings appear throughout the book; Carole Bosley, who was editor for all the clubs; Jack Constintine, who came through as always for the sports section; and Paula Weber, who compiled the snapshot section. The senior section was ably done by Joyce Carrick and Darlene Dechow. Lee Anne Woodward managed the advertising section, while Joan Britten successfully completed the faculty section. There are also many others who helped us to complete this 1952 Bobcat. Martha Marshal ea SS ee ee eee Daedeation Mrs. Julie Wenig, congenial teacher of foreign languages, has been selected for the dedication of the 1952 Bobcat. Mrs. Wenig, who has taught at Houghton Lake High School for the past seven years, has been advisor to the annual and the newspaper and has directed many of the class plays. We hope that by dedicating this annual to her we can, in a small way, show our appreciation for her work on the annuals in the past few years. One of our first duties was to elect officers for the year. We chose Carole Bosley as President, Chuck Palm Vice Pre- sident, Joan Bowman Secretary and Jim Olsen Treasurer. Later on we organized and carried through our first party, a Sadie Hawkins Dance. Following close on the heels of the freshman year was a jam packed year of fun and study as Soph- omores. Heading the class were Joan Bowman President, Al Cambridge Vice President, Nellie Ismond treasurer, and Joy Ennis Secretary. Our annual party that year was a W.P.A. (Women Pay All) Dance which provided a good time for everybody. But if anyone though the first two high school years were busy they had a big surprise a waiting them when we entered our Junior year. Among our many activities that year were a dance which was a Hard Time Party, the gala Jr. Prom., the Junior Senior Banquet and the Jr. Play, a great comedy “The Adorable Imp.” Officers for the year were Al Cambridge President, Carole Bosley Vice President, Darlene Dechow Secretary, Fred Baugartner Treasure and Marilyn Warner Student Council. At last came the long awaited Senior year. We got off to a good start with the election of officers. Al Cambridge was again elected President, Pat Donaldson Vice-President, Roberta Snyder Secretary, Valeria Hobohm Treasurer and Joyce Carrick Student Council. The class presented another very successful play, a mystery comedy, “Beyond Reason.” Topping off a wonderful four years of high school was a very impressive prom. and Jr.-Senior Banquet.
