SENIOR CLASS The senior's freshman year, under the guidance of their class advisor, Miss Borske, began the lone trek towards graduation. In their first meeting they elected Noyle Doty as President; Al Detmer, Vice-President; Sandra Newell, Secretary and Sally Schummer Treasurer. As Freshmen they began at once to take part in all school activities and made their debut at the annual Initiation Party. The following year Mr. Sherwood took over as class advisor. Officers were; Mewey Seehase, President; Skip Bachelor, Vice President; Bob Ancel, Secretary; Norma Pringle, Treasurer, Al Detmer, Student Council Representative. This year we were on the giving end of the Freshmen Initiation and the party was judged one of the most successful ever given. Even at this stage our boys were making their mark in the athletic field having representatives on all teams. Mr. Gerard had the thankless task of advising the class during the Junior year. At the first meeting they elected Frank Knapp as President; Ernie Brancheau, Vice President; Joy Allen, Secretary-Treasurer, and Dewey Seehase, Student Council Representative. In April they presented to a full house their Junior Play A Mind of Her Own under the direction of Mrs. Wenig. High- lighting the year was the Annual J-Hop held at Johnson's Rustic. They also entertained the Seniors at the Junior-Senior banquet in May. At last they bacame mighty Seniors. Their advisor was Miss Houghton and Frank Knapp again was President; Harlan Robinson, Vice-President; Liz Hildreth, Secretary; Norma Pringle, Trea- surer; Dewey Seehase, Student Council. In November they presented Three Blind Nates as their Senior Play and it was a real hit. All through the year they worked hard selling pop corn, candy, etc., at noon and at all athletic events to swell their Treasury. Now that they are departing, they leave all the honor and responsibility of the Green and White of Houghton Lake to the classes which will follow them. May they always remember that He Le He S. deserves only the best. Elizabeth Hildreth, Harlan Robinson, Frank Knapp, Dewey Seehase, Norma Pringle
