| | SOPHOMORE CLASS With anticipation the class of '51 entered H. L. He S. and there they have made their mark. A large and spirited class, they have added to the student body in the way of all activ- ities. As usual, the first duty of the class was to elect officers. At this meeting Norma Baxter was chosen President; Bob Shadron, Vice-President; Debra Tift, Secretary; Nancy Blumerich, Treasurer. Bob Shadron and Doris Beneke were elected as Pep Club members and to represent the Sophomores in Student Council were Norma Baxter and Elwin Knapp. Mr. and Mrs. Lantzsch were Advisors. To start off the activities we held the traditional Initiation Day for Freshmen. After subjecting them to many indignities during the day, we feted them at a most successful dance in the evening. During the entire year the class sold school supplies to supplement the Treasury. Nancy Blumerich represented the Sophomores at the Snow Ball and made a most charming con- testant. Many of the members have been active in all activities, especially athletics. The class of 151 may indeed be proud of a fine year. Elwin Knapp, Norma Baxter, Debra Tift, Nancy Blumreich
