Plays SENIOR CLASS PLAY POOR DEAR EDGAR On May 2nd, the senior class play, Poor Dear Edgar, was presented in the high school auditorium, under the direction of Miss Rafferty. The story centers around Edgar, played by Vernon Sturdy, who gets into serious difficulties. He becomes the hero, wins back his sweetheart, and is reinstated in college. MISS CHERRYBLOSSOMU In a beautiful setting of Japanese cherry blossoms and other colorful scenery, the Music Department presented the operetta, Miss Cherryblossomj' on March 29. Q The story 'involved the life of a young girl, Cherryblossom Cin reality Mis Evelyn Barnesb who, upon the death of her parents, was brought up as the daughter of Kokomo, the proprietor of a tea garden. Later Horace Worthington, her father's former secretary, returns to Japan with a party of American friends. One of the party falls in love with Cherryblossom. Kokomo has already promised his daughter to Togo, a rich politician. The story ends with Togo giving the young lovers his paternal blessing. The play, t'The First Christmas, told the story of Christ's birth. Ariel, a young shepherd, has been crippled by his older brother, Laban.
