presidenfs messa e p thy lungdnm come thy will he done All Christians want to see C od s kingdom come They want to see sin vanquished and God enthroned in the universe But not all Christians want to see God s will done 1n every respect in their own lives Jesus wanted to see Gods great plan triumph. And further, He was willing to say, Not my will but thine be done, when that meant 1 , o 9 Q Q 7 ' T . , . . , . 0 , . - . the cross. Consecration in a universal, general way is easy. It costs us little to wish God well. But personal ultimate consecration is hard, and it will cost us our very lives. And God's kingdom will not come unless His will is done - in our lives, by our complete surrender and death to self and the world. Except for the cross, there is no crown. The early Christians kindled the world with the flames of their own burning. So today it will be as we let our corn of wheat fall into the ground and die that fruit will be produced to the glory of our God and the advancement of His kingdom. Clilgn. .Ls ' 5? Natura1'ly to have that it is necessary to have an able president. Dr. Paine has had such a reputation during his more than a decade of service. 4 Holder of a thoroughgoing evangelical attitude toward Christian service and the Christ-centered unity of Protestantism, Dr. Paine's scope of in- terest includes his work as President of the National Association of Evangelicals. He has proven that he has a personal interest in every student by his willingness to confer with us about particular problems.
