Controlled by habitues of the books,,' the library is home-sweet-home for many stu- dents before exams. The offices of the President, the College Dean, and the Registrar are located here. Another im- portant feature is the bookstore, which resembles a country store-handling everything we need. We are proud of Luckey Memorial. This, our most beautiful building, becomes the concrete symbol of an abstract thing--a college education.

J Cacophony -that is the word which enters our minds when we approach this building where music majors hibernate for nine months out of a year. A conglomeration of sound greets the ear: a tinkling piano, tenor and soprano cadenzas, iiddles, flutes and Fidelio. Houghton is fortunate to have the fine facilities for music education that are found here. The building houses many small private practice rooms, studios for the professors, an auditorium, and a record library. The non-music students are fortunate that our music major friends have their building on the opposite end of the campus. .. ... ,.. .t,... .,.,. ,.. V .- W .'
