Whether it was coaxing the principal parts of a Greek verb from a re- luctant student . . . discoursing upon the finer arts of the game with a fellow golf enthusiast . . . presiding over a faculty meeting . . . or ,greeting a timid collegian with warm friendli- ness . Doon was always the same.
