OR a manifesfafion of fhe fype of individual Hough- fon College hopes +o produce, we look fo our Faculfy. When we wanf a paradigm of mellifluous macrology, we look fo Dean Hazleff. Miss Jo Rickard supplies fhe example of grammafical cor- recfness, while disillusioned Doc Small gladly furnishes us wifh informafion aboul' Shakespeare. Miss Davison gives would-be feachers an example of pedagogical exacfness. ln chapel on Tuesdays, every sfudenf of us is alerf fo fhe well-organized speech of Doc Paine: while fhe service is in progress, we sfeal a look af fhe face of our sincere Dean of Men-how sym- pafhefic he is wifh fhe speaker or song wriferl We like fhe perfinenf commenfs on fhe daily hymn by our Choir conclucfor, Prof Schram. And on cerfain evenings, Prof Cronk adds fhaf fouch of finesse fo our orchesfra concerfs. We 'rhink +ha+ Dr. Rosenberger represenfs fhe acme of professorship because of his rapid ad- iusfmenf fo varying sifuafions and his complefe command of his subiecf. Prof Woolsey and Prof Fancher show linguisfic abilifies of no mean degree. Miss Burnell is a liffle disappoinfed, some- fimes, when we chem sfudenfs clon'+ follow her example of inclusfriousness. We look 'ro Prof Smifh fo realize fhaf organ- izafion of work is a wonderful help when dufies are numerous. There are many more exemplary members whom we would like fo fell abouf buf we can menfion only a few more: fheo- logian Ries, courfeous Miss Hafch, and chic Clader. And so we daily read, and long remember, fhe lives of our professors and benefif by fheir wise deporfmenf and words of counsel. 4-TOP PlCTURE-Back row: Havrefh Owleff: Durwood Clader, A.
