SUE BELLE HUMPHREYS has a little request for Santa. too. WINNING FIRST PLACE in the religious division for the Ave Maria door is Mrs. Mosier's home room. Representatives are I. D. Chidester and Kenneth Johnson. ,kv 'fm SANTA'S REINDEER??? Alter a fashion these sleepy-eyed characters might re semble Rudolph and his crowd...in Christmas assembly at least. Sparkling clecoratronc Christmas trees and the smell of fir drifting from the auditorium signal the beginning of holiday fun and gaiety: impressive nativity scenes reflect the true meaning of Christmas. Familiar carols and beautiful tableaux tell the age-old story of Christmas as the Trojan Chorus and the Drama Department present the Candlelight Service. Santa Claus, alias Mr. Humble, pops into view in a special as- sembly to wish all Merry Christmas, and a two weeks' vacation gets under way. is Kris, OUCI-l!...David Stewart winces as his Wise Man's beard is removed quite forcibly from his chin.

DOT AND THE IUNIORS are popular entertainers. U. OF A. DEBATE TEAMS battle verbally on the importance ot physical education. Assemblies attract large audiences A bell rings, and suddenly the once-vacated halls are alive with students hurrying to get a seat in assembly. Then a quick silence settles over all as the students stand together and say: I pledge allegiance to the flag... and Our Father Who art in heaven... The Stu- dent Council vice-president then introduces COMPLICATED MECHANICAL DEVICES are explained by Bell Telephone representative. I the well-planned assembly, and the fun begins. Many home rooms present programs and skits, although most of the program planning is done by the Student Council.
