Under the sponsorship of Mr. Haines, the Camera Club had a photo contest, took pictures of school activities, and, of course, they developed their own pictures. Student Council projects this year included a Dance for Cancer at Halloween, the annual semi-formal Christmas dance, during tournament the armory was kept open as a recreation center for visiting Basin students, and the sponsorship of the Bobcat Lair. The year's biggest accomplishments were the students campaigns, speeches, and election of a student body president for the 1959-60 school year. The Bobcat Lair has been the scene of many enjoy- able evenings for the students of Tl-IS. These shots have caught some of the familiar events which take place at this recreation spot sponsored by the Student Council in cooperation with the Lion's Club. ' 4 I

about it and soon , Xxx, Girls' and Boys, State vM f These boys and girls were selected to represent Ther- mopolis at Boys' and Girls' State sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, Everyone prepared speeches and campaigns and ran for a state office. The final day was spent in Cheyenne visiting state officers, tour- ing the State Capital and the Governor's Mansion. The week was very educa- tional, lots of fun and many friends were made. Other F.T.A. activities in- cluded ushering for Open House during Education Week, running the concession stands for the March of Dimes during the faculty game, and having a banquet to celebrate joining the National Future Teachers of America Association.
