The Alpha-Zeta Forensic Contest was held on March 2nd at Hortonville. The first and second place winners in each contest go on to Winneconne to compete in the Little Nine District Forensic Contest on March 9th. The winners from Winneconne were: Kay Keefe-Humorous Declamation-2nd, Ag Marilyn Poole-Non-Humorous Declamation-1st, Ag Herbert Keating-Extemporaneous Speaking-lst, Ag and Leon Jensen-Oratory-1st, A. These contestants took part in the Finals of the Little Nine Forensic Contest at Hortonville on March 22nd. Kay Keefe and Marilyn Poole took first place and Herbert Keating and Leon Jensen took 3rd place. All four of these contestants participated in the District Tournament at Kimberly, Saturday, April 10th. Marilyn Poole received anuA' rating which entitles her to go on to the State, April 24th. O! the contestants, Kay Keefe and Leon Jensen, received a HBH rating and Herbert Keating received a 'Cu rating.

J-.H -. 5-.:' -' The Junior Prom, the most important social event of the year, was held April 23rd. Their theme uStardustu gavetheJuniors ample opportunityforartistic expression. The words of the theme song were placed on the windows, amid flowers and stars. A garden scene was a place of interest at the back of the hall. The stage had a false ceiling, with a moon, stars, and a throne for the King and Queen. King Milton Pankow and his Queen, Joann Strey, led the grand march through intricate maneuvers, as Reggie Barber's orchestra played uStardustn. The grand march ended with the crowning of the King and Queen in an attractive setting on the stage.
