PROPHECY Although I do not claim to duplicate the unique and fascinating experience of sleeping for twenty years as did the fabulous Rip Van Winkle, nevertheless I did experi- ence a feeling of awakening after being confined tothe world of make believe until 1968. Upon returning to Hortonville whichhadnow grown into a large, prosperous city, my chief desire was to make acquaintances with the whereabouts of my fellow classmates of U48'. Have you heard of the new supersonic speed record which was recently established by Major MERLIN ARMITAGE of the Army Air Forces? Turn on your television sets for WESLEY ARMITAGE is about to engage in a pitcher's battle with Bob Feller for World Series honors. Going to the movies? You'd better hurry if you want to see SHIRLEE BEHNKE in her latest screen production. WILLIAM BOHMAN is coaching a great grade school basketball team at Sugar Bush. If you're hungry, stop in at uLorraine's Lunchn which is operated by LORRAINE CASTELLION. Watch your step for Police Chief DONALD DIESTLER is on duty. Number please? Isn't that voice familiar? Why it's ELLEN DOROW who is a telephone operator in New York. Taxi? For quick service, contact Lorna's Zippy Service which is owned by LORNA FLUNKER. CAROLYN FRYE is making herself famous as a figure skater in Hollywood. Troubled? Don't worry, consult JOANN GIESEN who is a successful psychiatrist in Detroit. For the latest methods in sheep raising contact JACK FULCER who isa big time operator in South America. Extra! Extra! RICHARD GITTER has recently been elected Senator of North Dakota. Car troubles? Take them to Bill's quick ufix 'emu service, which is owned and operated by WILLIAM HARRIS. What is that delicious odor? You guessed it, it's the delicious dinner which HULDA HERTZFELDT has just prepared for her husband. It is said that GENEVIEVE HOFFMANN is touring Europe in search of a rare species of butterflies, for she is spend- ing her life as a zoologist. RUTH JAMISON and CECELIA JANDOUREK are co-owners of a coffee plantation in Brazil. Farming is a specialty for HERBERT KEATING who owns a large dairy farm in southern Wisconsin. Look at that new hair do! It must have been created by KAY KEEFF at her modern beauty shop in Hortonville. Need some gas? Then fill up at Super Service operated by FRED KRUEGER. For up-to-date tourist rooms stop in for the night at BURTON LATHROP'S. Another member of our class has turned to farming as ARMOND LEMKE has just taken over his father's farm. GLORIA LEMKE has moved to Florida where she owns a large orange grove. Is your back stiff? If so, consult MARCEDA LUECK who is a chiropractor out in California. Apparently office work agrees with ELAINE MORACK and RUTH NELSON who are employed by the government in Alaska. Want to have fun? Stop in at the night club which is under the strict management of BRIDGET PULDA. Tonight's main attraction features the performance of CORRINE SCHOLL who is a famous tap dancer and the vocal solos of MARILYN SUTTNER. For the best in entertainment stop in at DAVID HuNT's pool shack. MARJEAN SCHROEDER is an instructor in the Home Economics division at Stanford University. According to Bill Stern leading Sports announcer, DON SCHULZ, ex Hortonville High School great, has just taken first place in the Olympic Shot Put event in Switzerland. I understand BEVERLY STEFFEN is enjoying her job, as she is doing house work for Guy Madison in Hollywood. Got a sick horse? Sure cure is guaranteed if brought at once to MYRON TIEDT who is a successful horse doctor in Wyoming. DOROTHY WEIHING who is a great astronomer is making plans to take a trip to Mars in the near future. If you are looking for a good job, inquire at the Hortonville Toy Factory which is under the general management of BEVERLY WIRTH and PHYLLIS ZIEGLER. If you want right to the minute fortune telling consult GRACE ZIMMER who has an office in Chicago. It would be interesting toreturn after another twenty years and check on the class of n48n.
