After a few weeks had elapsed, we elected our class offic-' ers: President--Fred Krueger, Vice-Pres- ident--David Hunt, and Secretary-Trea- surer--Donna Jane Lenz. Our cheerleaders fortheyearwereKay Keefe, Lorna Flunker, and Donna Jane Lenz, alternate. The fol- lowing boys took part in basketball: William Bohman, Donald Diestler, Donald Schulz, Fred Krueger, and Eugene Collar. William Bohman and Corrine Scholl were chosen Best Boy and Best Girl Citizens for the year. Starting our Sophomore year the enrollment was forty-six members. We were sorry to lose George Grall, Alice Man- teufel, and Larry Miller, but we gained John Collar and Bridget Pulda. In a class meeting we elected our class officers: President--William Bohman, Vice-Pres- ident--Donald Schulz, and Secretary-Trea- surer--Corrine Scholl. Cheerleaders for the season were Kay Keefe, Lorna Flunker, and Corrine Scholl for alternate. Fred Krueger, Donald Schulz, andWilliam Bohman were on the 'A' squad. William Bohman reigned as King at the Homecoming Game on November 9th, MarJeau Schroeder was our only contribute in Forensics. Near the close of the year William Bohman was chosen as Best Boy Citizen and Corrine Scholl as Best Girl Citizen. When we returned as Juniors, we were happytoxnow that Genevieve Hoffmann and Jack Behnke had joined us. PROPHECY Although I do not claim to duplicate the unique and fascinating experience of sleeping for twenty years as did the fabulous Rip Van Winkle, nevertheless I did experi- ence a feeling of awakening after being confined tothe world of make believe until 1968. Upon returning to Hortonville whichhadnow grown into a large, prosperous city, my chief desire was to make acquaintances with the whereabouts of my fellow classmates of U48'. Have you heard of the new supersonic speed record which was recently established by Major MERLIN ARMITAGE of the Army Air Forces? Turn on your television sets for WESLEY ARMITAGE is about to engage in a pitcher's battle with Bob Feller for World Series honors. Going to the movies? You'd better hurry if you want to see SHIRLEE BEHNKE in her latest screen production. WILLIAM BOHMAN is coaching a great grade school basketball team at Sugar Bush. If you're hungry, stop in at uLorraine's Lunchn which is operated by LORRAINE CASTELLION. Watch your step for Police Chief DONALD DIESTLER is on duty. Number please? Isn't that voice familiar? Why it's ELLEN DOROW who is a telephone operator in New York. Taxi? For quick service, contact Lorna's Zippy Service which is owned by LORNA FLUNKER. CAROLYN FRYE is making herself famous as a figure skater in Hollywood. Troubled? Don't worry, consult JOANN GIESEN who is a successful psychiatrist in Detroit. For the latest methods in sheep raising contact JACK FULCER who isa big time operator in South America. Extra! Extra! RICHARD GITTER has recently been elected Senator of North Dakota. Car troubles? Take them to Bill's quick ufix 'emu service, which is owned and operated by WILLIAM HARRIS. What is that delicious odor? You guessed it, it's the delicious dinner which HULDA HERTZFELDT has just prepared for her husband. It is said that GENEVIEVE HOFFMANN is touring Europe in search of a rare species of butterflies, for she is spend- ing her life as a zoologist. RUTH JAMISON and CECELIA JANDOUREK are co-owners of a coffee plantation in Brazil. Farming is a specialty for HERBERT KEATING who owns a large dairy farm in southern Wisconsin. Look at that new hair do! It must have been created by KAY KEEFF at her modern beauty shop in Hortonville. Need some gas? Then fill up at Super Service operated by FRED KRUEGER. For up-to-date tourist rooms stop in for the night at BURTON LATHROP'S. Another member of our class has turned to farming as ARMOND LEMKE has just taken over his father's farm. GLORIA LEMKE has moved to Florida where she owns a large orange grove. Is your back stiff? If so, consult MARCEDA LUECK who is a chiropractor out in California. Apparently office work agrees with ELAINE MORACK and RUTH NELSON who are employed by the government in Alaska. Want to have fun? Stop in at the night club which is under the strict management of BRIDGET PULDA. Tonight's main attraction features the performance of CORRINE SCHOLL who is a famous tap dancer and the vocal solos of MARILYN SUTTNER. For the best in entertainment stop in at DAVID HuNT's pool shack. MARJEAN SCHROEDER is an instructor in the Home Economics division at Stanford University. I understand BEVERLY STEFFEN is enjoying her job, as she is doing house work for Guy Madison in Hollywood. Got a sick horse? Sure cure is guaranteed if brought at once to MYRON TIEDT who is a successful horse doctor in Wyoming. DOROTHY WEIHING who is a great astronomer is making plans to take a trip to Mars in the near future. SENICDR CLASS PLAY Spring Fever Mrs. Spangler keeps a rooming house at Brookfield College and says, UI never know if they're in or out.u The day before commencement, besides her college boy room- ers, their girls, a few parents, and others calling several times, gives itan atmosphere of activity. Ed Burns, a chemistry student, experiments in his room with a substitute for dynamite, Vic Lewis, an art student, uses the living room to paint ing Howard Brant, a Senior, types frantically at a term paper he has to complete in order to graduate the next day. Lou Heron, a journalism student, breezes in to use the typewriter land to see Edl. Ann Purcell, who likes Howard, has forgotten to reserve rooms for her millionaire parents, but manages to keep her mother with her and her father is to stay with Howard. When Mr. Purcell arrives. Vic mistakes him for a mndel heis expecting. and after gagging him and stripping him of most of his clothes to pose as a Bolshevik, they discover their mistake. Mr. Purcell, however, is infuriated and withdraws his offer of a new science building for the college. Then Howard's Aunt Maude, who has put him through college, arrives and learns of Howard's failure to pass a zoology test. Ann Purcell, aided by her chums and Vic passing as a doctor, puts on a death-bed scene to get her father to sign a paper promising the science building if Howard is allowed to graduate, but Vic's mustache comes off, spoiling it all. Howard delivers the paper to the Pro- fessor and comes back to pack, planning to leave everything behind. She lays it on Dan in thick and sugary coatings, practically nauseating everyone else. Fortunately Gloria has a staunch friend in Jane Warren who, too, knows a man or two.
