This year, the Student Council has really worked, thanks to its capable president, Mike Fagnan, and the rest of its officers and members. The council is composed of a representative from each home- room, class and organized club. This year the council laid the groundwork for a foreign ex- change student program. Although this may not be a reality for several years, this year’s council deserves the credit for originating the idea. The officers attended the Annual Bi-County Student Council Conference at Alfred on Dec. 20, and learned how other councils are conducted. The proctor system was resumed this year in an attempt to re- duce tardiness in the morning and after the break. Other activities included the sale of bookcovers, several socials, and a talent show. This game, like all the rest, was excitement all the way and the Raiders came from behind to win 7-5. The team then had the op- portunity to move into the finals against Jefferson High of Rochester — the team they had defeated in the 1960 semi-finals. However, the Raiders lost the finals 3-2 in a very hard fought game. The team played with desire, authority, and with a motto of never give up and never let up.
