In Appreciation We, os Seniors, ore very grateful for the guidance shown us by Mr. Donald Alderman, our Senior guidance director. His watchful eye and helpful hand have been instrumental in molding our high school programs and shoping our future. Many seniors could be found visiting Mr. Alderman throughout the week either for guidance or just a good friendly chat. The Senior year is a hectic one-—com- mittee meetings, play rehearsals, scholar- ship exams ond just about everything except homework. Speaking in behalf of the entire Senior Class we deliver our sincere gratitude to Mr. Kenneth Blakes- lee, class advisor. His friendly guidance and soft-spoken voice hove helped us many a time through the turmoil and confusion of our final year in H.H.S. The Maple Leaf Staff expresses its deep appreciation to Mr. Charles M. Eddy, faculty advisor of our book. By working with Mr. Eddy, we have found that publishing a yearbook is not as difficult as it might seem, but it is rather on enjoyable experience of work- ing together to do a job. His long hours of guidance have been the foun- dation of making our work and ideas a reality in the form of the '58 MAPLE LEAF. Mr. Guinane Mr. Adamonis Mrs. Olds How well we Seniors remember the unselfish efforts of our previous class advisors. To Mrs. Marie Olds who guided us through our confused freshman year, to Mr. Joseph Adamonis, our capable sophomore advisor, and to Mr. Richard Guinane who graciously helped us along in our junior year, we express our sincere appreciation.

I hope that each of you will grab a handful of rainbows today, and even when trouble, despair, and disappointment knock on your door, be like the teakettle — even when you're up to your neck in hot water — go ahead, sing. And if you ever get to the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on with strength. Make your philosophy one that at midnight, is certain of the dawn. Congratulations to all of you, and may you have the greatest of blessings. Sincerely,
