The close of this school year will see the passing of the Light of Guidance from the hands of our Superintendent, Harrison S. Dodge, to our Principal, Sidney MacArthur. The Hornell Public Schools have had the privilege of having Mr. Dodge's excel- lent supervision since 1919. During these years of Mr. Dodge's guidance, the present high school building was erected and the Lincoln School rebuilt. Com- pleted were the additions to the Bryant, Columbian, Irving and Lincoln Schools. This year Mr. Dodge is retiring after serving school and community for 36 years. Next year, Principal Sidney MacArthur will assume the position of Superinten- dent. Mr. MacArthur has become well known in the community for his faithful efforts to improve our school. We look forward with anticipation to Mr. Mac- Arthur's future success as our new Superintendent. Congratulations Harrison S. Dodge and Sidney L MacArJ
