Last Will and Testament We, the class of '55, of the City of Hornell, County of Steuben, and State of New York, being of legal age and sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this our Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and annulling any and all will or wills by us made heretofore: To the Class of ’56—Our financial difficulties To Mary Jo—Carol Cole's ability to talk To Elsa Guenther—Marion Stevens's voice To anyone that will take them—Pat's plaid shoe laces To Eddy's brother—Locker 36 To Ken Pratt—Jim Brown's spot as soloist To Gary Green—John Watt's height To Art—Bob Hanrahan's car To Mr. Peltz—New suit, size 40 To Miss Van Gelder—A birthday cake every year To the entire student body in '56—A principal with Mr. MacArthur's characteristics To Steve Simpson— Weasel's ability to play pool To Mr. Adamonis—A better personalized typing class To Mrs. Repple—Another Sth ward gang To Steve Burdette—Roman Poklinkowski's build To future students of Mrs. Humphrey—A thousand maga- zine articles Reflections We, the proud seniors of Hornell High School, review our last four years with fond memories. As talented freshmen, we began our Four Year Plan for revolutionizing the school. For the first time in the history of H.H.S. freshman day was held before all other class days. With the help of Miss Gallagher, we presented, without a doubt, the finest Freshman Day ever given to the students of H.H.S. As dynamic sophomores, our fame steadily increased. We explained thoroughly, in our class play, the structure of the atom to the other ignorant classes. Scholastically, we broke all existing records set by previous classes. Teachers considered it a privilege to teach us. As mature juniors, we presented a panel show for the first time in history. The Junior Prom was the big event of this year. Also dur- ing this year, we supplied the school with the Student Council President. And now we are seniors, the envy of the school. Last November we presented 3 highly success- ful play entitled The Divine Flora. This year Mr. Blake- slee has had the honor of working with the illustrious class of 1955. Since our revolution has now been completed, we soon will be leaving the hallowed halls of Hornell High. It is with deep regret that we say good-bye to the teachers and students who have shown such kindness towards us during our high school career. Many of our fondest memories will remain here, where we grew from immature boys and girls to mature men and women. 16
