Purpose: To better relations between the students and administration by solving mutual problems at meetings of the representatives ot the various school organizations and homerooms. The Student Council, led by Joe Cameron, burst out with ambition for their new proiect at the beginning ot the new tall term. There were spirited contests between many ot the homerooms and classes for the sale of maga- zines. Finally, the campaign came to a close and all the protits were in. We all were rewarded lor our magazine sales eftorts by the purchase of the organ for our audi- torium. Now, our assemblies are more enioyable with tine 42 music played by the school's able organists. Our Student Council has sponsored the New Year's Dance and the weekly Friday-night socials. The big annual spring Student Council climaxed the campaign tor the new Student Council President. The talents ot many Council members and students were dis- played in this assembly. President Cameron and the Council officers under the guidance ol Miss Harrower and Mr. Alderman, have worked hard for their success in fulfilling the Council purpose. Band to perform at all the football games, of- fering a source of constant entertainment for the lans as well as support tor the team. ln February, our musicians were particularly fortunate in making a trip to Atlantic City where they played for the American Associa- tion ol School Administrators. Since this con- cert, numerous letters from administrators all over the country have been received compli- menting the band on its fine performance. Upon returning, the band honored the school with an assembly program in which a selec- tion of novelty numbers was played. Later in the season, the band held two even- ing concerts and attended a state concert to climax another memorable year under the di- rection ot Mr. Harrington. j l in Hana' Personnel Fourth Clan nets al' ly o ry Gretchen Braunschweiger etchen Braunschweiger 'lliam Dodge ncy Dickson arol Grounds yi First Flutes l Second Flutes Prudence Anderson Sue Spalding Shirley Allison Sandra Simons First Clarinets Carol Cornell Gerald Minnich Clitf Willey Nancy Arnold Carol Sheridan Second Clarins-is Nancy Hover Robert Dodge Lucille Slatt William White Elliott Hartman Third Clarinets Ronald Weaver Jacqueline Tobin Eileen Atkins Carol Betts Barbara Sheon Sandra Sheon Katherine Clicquerinci June Wessels Eileen Burlingame Philip Breunle Charles Nissler Joan Armstrong Judy Webb Jean Geleta Oboes Jane McNutt Carol Dressler Bassoons Frederick Schulitz Marva Wellington Alta Clarinets Marilyn Reitnauer Sandra Oxx Carol Sparro Bass Clarinets Jacquelyn Palmer William Lehman Carol Sweringen First Alto Saxophones Anna McKibben Patricia Armstrong Second Alto Saxophones Joan Canan Sandra Wellington Tenor Saxophone Nancy Seaman Baritone Saxophone James Perley Bass Saxophone Paul Trapani First Corners James Brown Robert Good Second Corners Eleanor Bash Kenneth Pratt Billey Harris Third Corners Jacquelyn Perley Robert Stewart Donald Vaine Mary Bash Trumpet Marilyn Pickard Flugelhorn Dorothy Gillette First Ilorns Robert Stiles Donald Babcock Second Horns Carol Brown Clifford Baisch Third Horns Helen Class Robert Sikso Fourth Horns Robert Dwyer Charles Burlingame First Tromhones Richard Christen James MacFarland Second Trombonr John Scroxton Robert Langford Third Tromhones George VanKeuren Richard Stone Brian Miller Euphoniums Lawrence Lockwood Gary Stewart Jean Sick Tubas Charles Canan Joseph Goodsell Francis Beaver Donald Reitnauer Michael McCarthy Percussion Louis Nasca Robert Cole Robert Nesbit Joseph Beaver ff. ff. 1 flzoir For many years the pleasant voices of the choir have been echoing through the halls ot H.H.S.
