Sm-ated, Left to Right-Mr. Altlornmn, Eliznheth Kightlinger, Carol Dee, Thomas NVeyand, .huns-s Stewart. Class History Dear Jim, lt's almost time for graduation again, only this year il's different. This year it's our class, the Class of '51, that's graduating. lt seems only yesterday that we were freshmen, carrying light schedules and having lots of fun. Remember how proud Miss Hussong was of her freshmen that year? Then, as now, we were a brilliant, witty, but very mystified class. Remember how we used to wonder if we'd ever be seniors? The fall of '11-8 found us a step nearer that lofty goal, That was one of our best years-a year of lots of work and fun in clubs and sororities. Miss Benning, our wonderful adviser, helped us produce our assembly with our own class talent. What a play that was! When we at last became juniors, we were really proud. Remember the fun We had ordering class rings and getting ready for the big event of the year-our Junior Prom? It was a perfect dance with a beautiful queen presiding. Toward the end of that year, we started to think about our future plans. As always, Miss Harrower was right there to help us. Finally, we became Hlordlyw seniors and started the last short year. Of all our years, this has been the busiest and best. First, there was the Hurry over senior pictures, then the yearbook got underway. Before we knew it, there were senior committees, cards and announcements to be ordered, plans to be made for Senior Day, and our very first-our very own-ball. Now, our last days in H. H. S. are fading fast away. Soon, we shall march down the well-trodden aisle and take our places as honored but slightly sad graduates. Your classmate, t6MARCE s13.
