Class History A'l,ong ago and far away - 'that is how our Hrst year in H. ll. S. seems to us now. The corridors were endless. We were always finding ourselves in the wrong room 'always heing lost in the maze of new rules and regulations. Some- how after a few hard knocks, we lwcame organized: and under the kindly direction of Mrs. Cfornue, we eventually elected our class officers. Beeause they were an all-hoy group, they led us safely into our sophomore year. Ah! but wasn't that the year! That year found us strug- gling with geometry and Latin and at the same time doing our hest to aet like upper classmen. Nlrs. Wellington gave generously of her time and in eo-operation with our ahle representatives made it a very sueeessful year. As juniors we proved our unusual talents hy giving the school an llllllf0fflk'll3lJlt'll play. Bill Nazar demonstrated his qualities of leadership with the same enthusiasm he had shown during our freshman year. With Mr. Blakesh-e's good humor and hard work, the months flew hy: and we emerged as wiser and more mature students. To many, 1950 marks the turn of the half century, hut to us it commemorates our very last year in llornell lligh. lt hrings to an end four wonderful years and marks the begin- ning of many more which we must spend on our own-'-with- out the guidanee and friendly assistance of our ahle faculty. Mr. Alderman, our senior adviser, is one to whom we are mosl indehted. llc: has helped us to aehieve our highest goals and to realize the responsilvilities that eoine with graduation. Yes-under all our eapalmle elass ollieers and our willing advisers- 'these four years have heeu memorable ones. not only for ourselves, hut for llornell lligh and the elasses that we leave hehind.
