DIEDJICA ll The Senior Class of Hornell High School proudly dedicates the 1948 MAPLE LEAF to MR. RALPH J. PELTZ. As adviser of the National Honor Society, Mr. Peltz symbolizes the aims of this organization--namely charac- ter, scholarship, leadership, and service. A gentlemanly manner, integrity, and perseverance are outstanding among his character traits. Membership in Phi Beta Kappa typifies his high de- gree of scholarship. Being head of the Mathematics Department and the founder and adviser of the Hornell Chapter of the Na- tional Honor Society is proof of his leadership. Willingness to give help to all who ask Whether dur- ing school hours or after school hours is evidence of his desire to serve. It is because of these outstanding qualities that the Senior Class dedicates its yearbook to Mr. Peltz.
