The Future Business Leaders of America, sponsored by Mrs. Sara Shaw, is composed of forty-three busi- ness students. The purpose of FBLA is to provide additional opportunities for secondary students in business and office education, to develop voca- tional and career supportive compe- tencies, and to promote civic and per- sonal responsibility. The FBLA pro- vided food baskets for needy families at Thanksgiving and donated toys to a family at Christmas. The members attended both a district and state con- vention. Distributive Education The Distributive Education Clubs of America, DECA, is sponsored by Miss Donna Briscoe. The purpose of DECA is to supplement the total instructional program and to enhance the employability of the students. This year the DECA Club sold Zip Code Directories for a fund raising project.
