Large amounts ot homework were hig disadvant igcs yet high on the list of advantages was our Thursday afternoon social hour Xve enjoyed our social program greatly tor we had a variety ot entertain ment, such as social and lolk dancing, quiet and active games. tsomctimes the latter were duhhed Uthe loud gamesfyl Qur lite was greatly enriched hy these activities, and most ol us agreed that social dancing was the most fun The social hour provided some thought for our young connivers who concocted schemes to prevent stag lines and to keep the dancing hour lrom heinff too short. The first time we went to the Thursday parties we were attracts the refreshments. Xve soon grew to enjoy the gatherings so much that t e Dixie cups no longer lured us. However, when lvood was served no murmurs ot discontent arose. SEV!-ENS SKILLED IN SCDCCER, GIRLS CO FOR GYM The seventh grade is rather good at keeping up the high stand ircs cl Horace lvlann-Lincoln in the matter ol teams. Our stalwart soccer tcam had a group of athletes, who. according to Coach, did their hcst to lose GI 1 game, hut hy some quirk ol late always managed to win it. t The girls in our class like haskethall, swimming, and modern canfinvf However, some of them woneer why haskethall was ever invented or that the haskets were lowerec a lvew inches. lxlost ol them like gym c show their skill and enjoyment on the courts. ll. you would ask ffhiel, Coach, hlrs. Proctor. or hlrsr lxlck or alaout our spirit, they would te l you, hetween pulls and pants, scoldings compliments, that our spirit is good hut we are a little wild at times. 6
