Our Dedicaiion io Richard White We, the Horace Mann students and faculty, dedicate our 1972 GALLERY to two dedicated teachers, MR. RICHARD WHITE and MR. W, DEE MITCHELL, Their many years of teaching The product of two negative numbers is positive, has made them a positive factor in the lives of their students. MR. RICHARD WHITE has taught in the Tulsa Public Schools since 1952. Not only has Mr. White inspired his students in the field of education, but also his two sons as well. Both are teaching in the Colorado schools while a daughter, Anita, is with her husband in a missionary school in Israel. It is with regret that this master teacher will put away rulers, compasses, protractors, equations and other math materials, but it is with pleasure that this active church member, avid fisherman, and gardner will pick up his church literature, his fishing rod and hoe,

Mr. Whiie and Mr. Mitchell Q.. W. Dee Mitchell MR. W. DEE MITCHELL, counselor and mathematics teacher, can also look back on a long life of service to young people. He, too, influenced his own family in the educational field, Don, a graduate of California Institute of Technology and the University of Tulsa, is his son and Don's wife is a teacher in the Tulsa Public Schools. Sandra, the Mitchell's daughter, is a graduate of Vanderbilt and lives in Maryland. MR. MITCI-IELL'S teaching career, which began in 1933, was interrupted by two hitchesin the Army, and given some unusual spice by two years in Jimma, Ethiopia. He came to Tulsa in 1956, where his influence was felt, not only by the students whose lives he touched, but by the entire school system through his years as president of the Tulsa Classroom Teachers' Association, and his election as Tulsa Teacher of the Year in 1968. We say THANKS to you both, Mr. White and Mr. Mitchell, for your excellent teaching and influence, and we wish you happiness in your retirement. You will be missed!
