SOPEOMORE CLASS HISTORY One oev in early September, l948 about forty freshmen entfreo Horace Mann High School. Most of these boys and girls were really glad to begin high school work. Miss T'3e,rgaret Franken and Mr., David Crozier led. these stucsnts through the year. The class officers chosen for thot year were: nresident, Gordon Ggrrettg vioemprosident, BelLcrs.T 31 rg ssurstery, Hegel Eollonsbeg treasurer, Rose Ann Bigny, and reporter, Lillirn Crmmiis. Miss Rschpel Teul end Hrs Tllery Gibson are the soonsors. The students olected to serve as officers src: president, David Cornnr vicehpresident, Max Helsong secreterv, Mscil Kiser, end treasurer, Lillien Crufirzins. The reporters for the Mirror are Bill Rebel and Jo Ann Cotter. This year the sophomore class had the honor of having one of their classmates elected es king at homecoming. He was Bill Rebel. Nmnj of the girls this year are osrticioeting in chorus Tho? ere: Jo Ani Cotter, Betty Jensen, Barbara Taylor,EvelVn Finter, Marian Alice Foe, Lillian Cummins, Betty Hntson, Joan Griffsv, Naomi Narshall, Mary Ann Linnoman, Rose Ann Riley, and Belovce Harrington. Tho boys who are out for football ere: Pete Ebrecht, Bill Rsbfl, Deen Miller and Deen Gerd. The first pertv of the year was a nicnic, scavenger hunt, and show combined. First there was a picnic with plenty to est, then an old-fashioned scavenger hunt and lest but not least to these sleepy sophomores was the show. The sophomoresof 1949 and lQ5O hevo considered this year very successful.
