“JUNIOR CLASS HIS TORY On September 9, 1947 forty-three freshmen, all verygreen came to Horace Mann, many of' them for the first time. We elected as officers of' our freshman class: Alfred O'Conne1l, pres identgvirgil Woods, vice-presidentgllary Lu Va1k,sec1-etary Betty Hainey, treasurerg and student council representatives, Phyllis Hansen and Larry Morehouse. Our sponsors were Miss Franken and Mr. Crozie r. p, As Sophomores, our class had decreased to thirty-eight . Theo officers of' our sophomore class were: president, Larry Morehouse, vice-president Phyllis Hanseng secretary, Bonnie Thor-peg treasurer, Gene Carr, reporter, Ada Holtg sergeant at-arms, Kenneth Holme-sg student council representatives, Virgil Woods, Phyllis Hansen, and Tommy Davis. We ended our sophomore year by sponsoring the May Dance on the last day of school. Our sponsors were Mr. Rybak and Miss Stauffer. This year we oame back to Horace Mann as juniors. As all juniors' have done in the past, we are desperately trying to raise money for the Junior-Senior Prom. Our class officers are: president, Tommy Davisg vice-president, George Worleyg secretary, Phyllis Hansen, treasurer, Ronnie Pfostg '.l'8 h1idBHt council representatives, Tommy Davis, and Ronnie Pfost, and Delores Howard, class reporter, Mary Lu Valk. Our sponsors.. Mr . Rybak and Miss Wilson.
