At Halloween we presented for assembly a one act play about a haunted house. Throughout the year we busily sold food at games and noon hours to obtain money for the all important prom. Then, on May ll, using Star Dust as a theme, we feted the seniors at the Countryr Club. Again, many thanks goto Miss Arnold and Mr. Garner For their excellent guidance. This yearwe elected as class 1 'of'ficers. fProsident, Burton Lyleg vi ce-president, Madonna Piggy' secretary, Wava Thrasherg treasurer, Betty Manley, reporter, PatriciaSchulte and sergeant-at-arms, Charles Doran, Our student council representatives are Herman Sallee, half year and Leona Ringgold, whole year. This year we sponsored the Christmas assembly. 1Our sponsors who deserve much of' the credit for this successful year are Mr. Dieterich and Miss Arnold. T On the night of' April 14, we presented our Senior play entitled And Then Came Spring , a comedy in lthree acts. o I Another event long awaited, was the Senior trip in early May And now we leave Horace Mann for the 1-agstffjtime as students and go our separate ways. We each have a'-goal to strive for, and we are going to work very hard to attain it. We hope to see .more of you in our frequent visits to our Alma Mater.
