FOOTBALL Coach Gordon Anderson began the football season with six returning lettermen. They were: Herman Sallee, a senior, Rex Goodwin, Harold Holaday, donnie Pfost, Alfred O'conne1l, juniors, and James 0PeteW Ebrecht, a sophomore. The H. M. H. S. football team of 19b9v50 has a record of one win and five losses. Forest City iforfeited a game to H. M,, but it has not been made officiallpy the league. Eleven men were awarded letters this seeson. They were Wayne Gard, and Herman sallee, Seniors, George Atchison, De Witt Finney, Mex Goodwin, Harold Holaday, A1fredCJConnel1 Ronnie Pfost, william Stanton, and George Jorleyi juniors, and Billy Rebel, a sophomore. VARS I TY BAS KETBALL Coach G. Anderson began the season with six lettermen back from last years squad. They were Audra jwilliams, Charles Doran, James Ebrecht, Rex Goodwin, Al O'Conne11, and Ronald Pfost. The Cubs didn't have too unsuccessful a season, winning seven games and losing eight games. Audra Williams who lei the Cubs in scoring last year waei the big gun again this year scoring onehundred andfifty. eight points to lead the Cubs scoring attack. Charles Doran was seccnd in scoring with seventy five poinis, followed by Ronald Pfost with seventy one pointsa Al O'Connel scored thirty eight points with lex Goodwin and James Ebrecht scoring thirty five and thirty three points respectively. Don Brewer, Mad Nelson, Wilbur Hackett, and Bobby Smail scored five, three two and one points respect- ively. Herman Sallee did a very good job controlling the ball. The boys who won letters are Audra Williams, 'Charles Doran, James Ebrecht, Ronald Pfost, Rex Goodwin, Herman Sallee, and Al'O'Connell. The Cubs were entered in the Skidmore Cage tournament at Skidmore, the Nodaway Outdoor tournament and the Sub- Regional tournament at Maryville.
