And next day in the setting sun Korea loomed. The voyage done. In Pusan town, we realize There's more than stinking mud and fliesg But first impressions often last When other memories have passed. Marines departed there at night And moved up front to joint the fight Then eastward toward Japan we went Sightseeing thru the Grient. R2 time was short, so underway. Marines and Utes were stowed away. From Camp McGill we sailed at night, A secret mission was in sight. A railroad near the Eastern shore Must haul its troops and guns no more. Our job was outlined to the crew Ami rundmg, -ferc eg-H ' 5 '- fmiq , ,what each would do In three short nights of recreation Our landing teams left devastation. The Casey Jones, Korean style Would find their bridges just a pile Of stone and timber where the tracks Were blasted by our deadly packs. And tunnel mouths were blocked by slides Of rock and dirt from mountain sides
