Rich Butler Operations Officer August 2000 - Present LT Hudson entered ac- tive naval service in August 1981 at Great Lakes, IL as a seaman recruit. While at boot camp he was assigned to the Religious Program Specialist rating and attended ' A school in Biloxi, MS. After A school he was stationed at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC: Guantanamo Bay. Cuba; Destroyer Squadron 12 and Destroyer Squadron 8 in Mayport, FL. Selected for the Enlisted Educational Advancement Program while at DESRON 8. he attended Pensacola Junior College from January 1987 through August 1988, earning an Associates Degree in Busi- ness Management. He was then transferred to his second overseas tour at Naval Support sequently served in the com- missioning crew of USS THE SULLIVANS as Navigator. LT Hudson is currently serving as Operations Officer on board USS HOPPER. He is a graduate of Embry-riddle Aeronautical University where he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Aviation Op- erations. Lieutenant Hudson is married to the former Tammy McDowell of Worthington. Ohio. They have three chil- dren. Tanner. Cayman and Kincaid. Office. La Maddalena. Italy from September 1988 through April 1990. While in La maddalena he was selected for the Enlisted Commission- ing Program. He attended Miami Uni- versity. Oxford. OH earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. LT Hudson was commissioned an ensign in May 1992 and then attended Surface Warfare Officers School in San Diego. CA.
