The above expresses Luc-y's feelings exactly. She is always full of life and' fun. She gained much fame in the Carnival last fall when she posed as Strong Arm Nellie. Lucy gets a.long well with all her teachers, but she probably learned more last year in Physics than at any other time l?I. Lucy has no idea how she will pass away the time when she graduates. B-rudder has proven to be one of the most useful students the High School has ever had, by his skillfull management of our Carnival and the baseball and basketball teams. He also attended to most of the prepara- tions for the W. K. H. S. O. L. which came to Hopkinsville this year. ln fact when any hard work comes up it usually falls on his shoulders. He is some speed king on his motorcycle. Any time now we may see him whiz- zing about town, still he always man, ages to slow up at the corner of Main and Qlst streets. Wonder why? .DORET'l'A GRAY. Chorus class. Know this lady intellectual? Dorretta specializes in the Commer- cial Department. lt takes a paient and persevering person to work out difficult trial balances and to n1ake a troublesome typewriter write correct- ly, but Doirretta masters everything that she attempts. It is because she is so patient ad persevering that all her work shows such an exact finish instead Of beiflg gotten up in that just any old way fashion. Socially she is one of the most con- genial girls in the school. To know her well is to be her friend and a truer friend would be hard to find,

Mary started her High School class of 191-1 but grew tired of their company and joined the 15 class. If you should see a tall, handsome girl with large brown eyes and a light quick step strolling along down the street you could put her down for Mary Rice. We might also add that you would probably see some one with her for she has a w rld of friends. In school, she is famous for saying 'AI cannot see why, and call- ing on her teachers for detailed ex- planations. But that is a good way to End out things. EDWARD SETTLE DABNEY, H. C. D. He has won many laurels by his powers as an orator and the class is justly proud of him. Big is also a football star and a basketball and tennis player of exceptional ability. He also has a rather noticeable leaning towards ladies. Edward is also one of the best students in the class. GLA DYS TA YLOR. Chorus Classg Class Historian: Schoolmistress. Grace was in all her steps, heaven in her eyes, In every gesture dignity and live. All during her four years here, Gladys has been a useful member of her class and school. Besides being a hard worker she has a pleasant way of doing things that wins favor from every one. lt is doubtful if any girl in school has so many really good friends as she. Gladys especially loves mathematics and Chemistry. It is also rumored that she has a soft spot in heir heart for a certain fellow in the Sophomore class.

The comparison of their friendship to that of Damon and Pythias was not uncalled for. Janie also attends the picture show every chance she gets and knows the actors and actresses well. She claims some dramatic talent herself and has figured in a number of plays. Just now she promises to make a hit .in the play that will be given at the end of school. I concede you that point for the sake of argumentf' It would be impossible to forget the tall burnt-coke end man in the Senisr Minstrel show. Even outside of the minstrel Rusty is always full of fun. He takes an interest in jouirn- alism. After finishing High School he expects to take up this line of work. During the four years he has done a valuable service to the school by act- ing as press agentu for all the sch1ol's activities. 'z Chorus class. Measure your mind by the shadow it casts. In every class that graduates from any school there are always some pu- pils who stand unusually well in their classes and who always do excellent work. In this class Leonora is one of that kind. She dies well in all her studies but German is her favorite. She was greatly disappointed when she was not able to take it the last five months of this year. Never-the- less Trignometry which was substi- tuted for the Deutsch, i-s quite differ- ent and no one could blame a girl for total abstainance frvm its wiles. We were about to forget to say that Leo- nora can manipulate a piano to per- feetion. It would be a joy to Pader- ewski himself to hear her play.
