DEAR ANN LANDERS □ ne of the newest additions to the counseling staff this year is Miss Buckman. Although new, she has added quite a bit to this department, having recently received her Master's degree from Harvard. We now have six full-time counselors working with the students of Hopkins. They are familiar with, and directly concerned with every student who takes time to go and talk to them, and are certainly kept busy with registration, testing, and college applications. Hopkins has a very good reason to be proud of our counseling service in that Mr. Benson has been granted recognition as president of the American School Counselors Association, on both the Minnesota and national level. Business courses range from personal typing to a relatively new course, vocational training. These students attend classes for half of the day and work in the field of their choice during the other half. 25
