MR. DENNIS ROOF. Actant Principal. MRS. DELORES PAVELKA. Head Offao Secretary. MR. MILTON OJALA. Ajs-itant Principal. EFFICIENCY WITH ENERGY is more than the faculty which contrib-mja Mutes to the school life of H.H.S. There |1U||are many specialists in different fields who keep things going throughout our school. Among their many other duties, our two assistant principals, Mr. Ojala and Mr. Roof, have charge of all disciplinary and attendance problems at Hopkins. Mr. Ojala, also in charge of all IBM works, received his Master's degree at the University of Minnesota. Mr. Roof, who once taught in California, furthered his training at the University of Iowa. There are four people at our school who are considered specialists. They include Mrs. Arget-singer, the speech clinician, Mr. Olson, teaching the special education class, Mrs. Rosdahl, curing us of our many ills, and Mr. Neudecker as co-ordinator of our visual education program. Each, in his own way, contributes to the task of developing our school and the people in it to their fullest capacities. 17

STEVE. OUR SINGING JANITOR. MAKES THEM SWOON T THE HOMECOMING VARIETY SHOW. HERE ARE JUST A FEW OF THE FOURTEEN HUNDRED STUDENTS THAT PASS THROUGH THE LUNCH LINE EACH JDAY. THE COOKS IN THE KITCHEN DON HATS AND WIGS TO BREW THEIR HALLOWEEN SPECIALTY. THEIR SPECIALTY IS SERVICE nn front of their ovens and behind their mops are seen the people of Hopkins High who aid us with seldom noticed, but invaluable service. The cooks are kept busy from early morning till late afternoon preparing the food which is served to hungry students at each of the five lunch periods. Mrs. Harris, head dietician for the Hopkins School District, makes certain that our daily meals are nutritious as well a appetiz-ing. Besides completing their responsibilities during the school day. our cooks offer their services to the various school clubs for banquets. Late in the day, after the last detention bell has rung and the activity buses have left, the custodians of our school are conscientiously cleaning up the general mess created by eighteen hundred students during the day. Whenever the call for immediate service is raised these people are ready and always willing to lend their aid. 19
