MR. D. R. COPPINS. Principal of Hopklm Sonior High School. CHIEF OF WARRIORLAND aerhaps the most respected and the most important man in Hopkins High School is our principal, Mr. Donald Coppins. He is the man to whom everyone looks for leadership and advice. Mr. Coppins' duties are great and varied, from signing absence slips to signing contracts. He is also representative of the entire faculty and administration when addressing the students. He acts as a middle man between the coordinators of education and their students. Mr. Coppins is directly concerned with every student in Hopkins High. As principal he feels a responsibility for the welfare of us all. He has shown this responsibility and, now in the fifth year of his job, has provided the ever growing population of Hopkins High School with truly effective leadership. 13

MR. 1. H. TANGLEN. Superintendent of School District 274. TOP BRASS OF 274 □ esponsible for running our entire school system are the people who are located in the business wing. Here, all those connected with the maintenance of District 274 are found, doing such behind the scenes work as supervising building programs, expanding public relations, planning finances, and developing the educational program. At the head of this department is the Superintendent of School District 274, Mr. L. H. Tanglen, an overall supervisor of the ten schools composing the district. Mr. A. E. Edstrom. acting as co-ordinator between the school board and the secondary schools, is Director of Secondary Education. Mr. E. J. Young is head of the Business Department. The School Board works with these three men in set- ting the curriculum and solving administrative problems. MR. A. E. EDSTROM, Director of Secondary Education.
