The nursing staff keeps tabs on the eyes, ears and general health of the students. They ore also responsible for the administration of the Mantoux tuberculin tests and chest x-roys. Remedial reading helps those students with reading difficulties before they get to college or jobs in later life. Mr. Marfinctto works with the staff in improving reading on oil levels. Remedial speech corrects many of the students difficulties in speech. OUCHI REMEMBER THIS?

TRAINING FORA PLACE IN BUSINESS PREPARING THE STUDENT for future life is the aim of any high school's curriculum. For those students not wishing to go on to college after high school, Hopkins offers a complete program in business education. The curriculum ranges from typing, which is often taken by students not going on in business, to an arrangement where the student is permitted to work on a job and get graduating credits from doing so. Bookkeeping, business and sales, office practice, shorthand and clerical office practice rounds out the curriculum. The business education department is equipped with up-to-date equipment: typewriters, dictaphones, duplicators, mimeograph machines.
