Director Robert Sine sparks the band in a rousing dance number. ALI.-STATE CHORUS - Mr. F. Corelli, advisor, M. Dalesio, K. Chumney, T. Mooney, M. Spurgiesz, M. Orton, P. Marion. Musicians Gain All-State Honors 5 Dance Band Helps Ho-Val Boosters BOYS' CHORUS Boys' Chorus, open to any interested boy, performed in the Christ- mas and Spring concerts. The club met every morning during homeroom, having only five minutes a day to practice. ALL-STATE CHORUS-ORCHESTRA Last spring, six Ho-Val chorus members were cho- sen to represent the school in All-State Cho- rus. This group joined with the best high school vocalists in New Jersey during concerts at Atlantic City and Newark. In December, members of Ho-Val's instrumental music de- partment auditioned for positions in Region II Band!Orchestra. After competition against eight hundred students, five musicians were chosen to represent Ho-Val. GIRLS' ENSEMBLE Ho-Val's most talented female singers, selected during an audition at the beginning of the year, comprised the Girls' Ensemble. Weekly practices prepared the girls for their performances at school concerts. DANCE BAND Instrumentalists interested in the big band sound formed this large band ensemble. Directed by Mr. Robert Sine, the band was featured at The Harvest Moon Ball, and other benefits for the Ho-Val Band Boosters throughout the school year. ALL-STATE ORCHESTRA - T. Darnall, M.
