CLASS HISTORY On a fine September morning in 1947, our Senior Class of fifty-nine entered the doors of Hopewell- Loudon. Our group of forty- eight werejust beginning a school life that would last twelve years. Our first year in Junior High, Twila Marshall and Barbara King became our Junior High cheerleaders. Phyllis Hoover and Barb were chosen the second year when we were eighth graders. In September of 1955, we entered our freshman year. We chose our class colors, Blue and White, our flower, the American Beauty Rose: and our motto, IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US? The class officers for that year were: President, Sam Schubert: Vice-President, Dave Shane, Secretary, Barbara King, Treasurer, Jane Fox, Reporter, Robert Goscheg Student Council, Loanna Pem- ber and Bernard Hohman. The highlight of our freshman year was our Freshman-Sophomore Prom. This was a big event for all of us. Barb was our cheerleader. In '56 the class officers were chosen as follows: President, Ronald Brendleg Vice-President, Dave Shane: Secretary, Larry MoQuistiong Treasurer, Sam Schubertg Student Council, Loanna Pember and Ber- nard Hohman. Our big event was the Freshman and Sophomore Prom. Barb was our Reserve Cheerleader. Our .Ttmior year we published the Scarlet Banner throughout the year. We all had a good time when we presented our Junior Class play, Clementine, and our main event of the year was our formal Junior- Senior Banquet and Prom. Our class officers in '57-'58 were as follows: President, Ronald Brendle, Vice- President, Sam Schubertg Secretary, Larry MoQuistiong Treasurer, Bernard Hohmang Student Council, Loanna Pember and Dwight King. Barb King was our Varsity Cheerleader. Now as Seniors, our class of '59 can look back on the past twelve years and see how we helped to make Hopewell-Loudon the great school it is. This year we presented our Senior Class play, Absolutely Murder. We are very proud of our classmates who are members of National Honor Society. We wish to express our thanks to the Juniors for the fine banquet and prom they gave us this year. We wish to express our sincere thanks to the teachers of Hopewell-Loudon for the fine education with which they have supplied us, also to our parents, who have helped us through these twelve, well-remembered years.
