MR. A. W. IONES Congratulations to the class of 1947. The Scarlet and Gray will fumish a complete record of the pupils and activi- ties of the school during the year 1946- l947. It is a chronicle of events they will want to remember. Peace came to the world and a new atomic era has staqed its entrance into the affairs of men. Let us hope that the Hopewell-Loudon school will be lar- stghted enough in its school program to train boys and girls to live useful lives in this aqe and to be better citizens because they were once enrolled in this school. MR. H. R. MILLER Always, following a major war, there are problems of a unique nature for younq people to master. Especially are they perplexing in the social, moral, and economic fields. It's my sincere hope and belief that these students of Hope- well-Loudon, whose activities are so well portrayed in this year book, are better trained than ever to solve their problems. I congratulate the Class of 1947 for excellent achievement.
