Porter, Jr. R.P.I., B.S., University of Virginia. D.E. is one of the four cooperative programs between the school and the business community offered at Hopewell High. Students are provided with actual business experience and on the job training which gives them a head start on others in their field. This department deals with the buying, distributing, and merchandising of all types of goods. First year students study the field of distribution in the classroom while the second and third year students have on the job training at stores all around town.
