Under the able leadership of these fine teachers, our physical education program is a very enjoyable experience. We are instructed in such various sports as field hockey, basketball, gymnastics, archery, golf, and softball. In the classrooms, courses in first aid, driver education, and current social and health problems are taught and discussed. The teachers are aided by films, diagrams, and demonstrations. ART DEPARTMENT Miss Taylor lets the class gather around for a few pointers in the colorful art room. LIBRARY Elizabeth P. Taylor Longwood, B.S., V.C.U., William and Mary. The Art Department at Hopewell High develops the talents and desires of its many students. These students are engaged in many various types of art work and the study of art history. Miss Taylor, an outstanding artist, is also an excellent teacher. Mary Carter Norton Madison, B.A. A deadline on a composition coming? Book report due? Want a good book to read?
