Farnsworth Syracuse University, B.A., University of Virginia, M.E. English is one of the most important subjects taught at Hopewell High. The fine staff of English teachers in every way possible try to impress us with this fact. Being a subject that is required for four years, English classes are often packed with minds eager to obtain knowledge. These excellent teachers do their best, and then some, to help everyone understand the many aspects of literature and grammar. To say that every student realizes the useful necessity of a good background in English is one way of saying thank you to the many hours spent by these teachers instructing us. As math becomes more important, the Math Department strives ever harder to prepare us for the world of compute rs, engineering, taxes, and budgets. These teachers are assisted by many classroom aids and these fine teachers have many years of experience and learning behind them.
