To The Underclassmen With a sense of regret and many a backward glance, the Seniors of 1951 leave the familiar halls of Hopewell High to join the band of alumni of our dear Alma Mater. The loyalty, the friendship, and happy memories that we shared will linger within our hearts. We hope that you will benefit from your years in H.H.S. as we have, making a part of your daily life all that we strove to do and much that we never accomp¬ lished. All the things that we hold dear we place in your hands. Not only the material things of the school do we trust to you, but even greater—the spirit, the whole¬ hearted cooperation, and the joys of accomplishment that are essential parts of school activities. Remember that education is a torch to carry high and to keep burning with bright and steady flame. No greater honor could we bestow upon you, than to leave you this burning torch. We must leave, but we will always cherish the teachings and guidance of H.H. S., and we will never forget you, our friends.
