Under the direction of Richard Parks, the band marched at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson and at a few home football games. First semester, we sang at the Senior Citizen buildings, both at Hope and Herington. We were also featured at the Christmas concert. The League Vocal Festival was held at Westmore- land and we attended. What are you two up to now? “Tonight's the Night! was the theme for the 1987 Jr Sr Prom. The gym was decorated in purple and white streamers with black castles setting the mood. The meal was buffet style with everyone getting plen- ty of delicious food to eat. The guests and their dates danced until midnight to finish the evening. It has been a tradition for over twenty years for the Hope graduating class to go to the Ozarks on Senior-Sneak. This year, however, the Sen- iors decided they would rather go to Kansas City. Their four days in Kansas City were filled with activities including attending a Royals game, eating, shopping, eating. Worlds of Fun. visiting the zoo. several tours, and yes. eating out. I'm glad we went to Kansas City. I think the classes should choose where they want to go each year instead of sticking to tradition.
