▲▲ We, the 1985-86 Annual Staff, dedicate the Lions Roar to three teachers who have shared with us students much knowledge, lots of their time, and most importantly their friendship. Webster states that a teacher is one whose occupation is to instruct. We feel that these teachers have instructed us well. Not only in the classroom, but also whenever we needed the guidance. Mrs. Barbara Strain has been the business teacher here at Hope for two years. She has taught several classes including: Typing, Computers I II, Accounting, and General Business. Mrs. Strain has a smile for everyone and her great amount of patience is especially nice when we have those huge disasters in Computers and Accounting. She's a great friend to all of us. Mr. Danny Traub has taught woodworking for seven years at Hope High School. His classroom atmosphere is pleasant which allows much to be accomplished by the students. He is always ready to help us out. Mrs. Judy Mareda has been the vocal music and band teacher for grades 1- 12 at Hope for two years. She encourages us to use our talents and puts much time and effort into programs. The quality of the programs she has present- ed is above any other we have seen here at Hope. As you leave Hope High School we would like to thank you for what you have given to us and hope you have many opportuni- ties that will lead you to your goals. Administra tion Bob McDaniel Supt. Girls Basketball The 1985-86 girls basketball team be- gan their season hopefully because of the experience of five seniors. We were dis- appointed when we lost our first games by only a few points. We did begin unit- ing as a team and won several games midway through the season. We felt con- fident going into regionals that we had what it takes. However, like our previous tournament performances, we did not fulfill our desire to succeed. The 1985-86 basketball season will be remembered not only for the extend of our success, but also for the cherished memories of being together. Who's going the right way? I'm coming though!
