UNIFIED SCHOOL BOARD Mr. Dale Scott, Mr. Milton Jacobson, Mr. Dale Gantenbeln, Mr. Leslie Worrell, Mr. Jerry Wendt, Mrs. Charmaine Oesterreich, and Dr. Henry Holloway As we examine the educational progress and policies of our attendance centers this 1969- 1970 school year, we plan continuous action of improvement for the educational needs of the youth of our communities by outlining the following desires of attainment: Making our educational system responsive to the individual needs and aspirations of every young person and truly relevent to the realities of this society in which they will live their lives. Expanding educational opportunity to insure that all our students receive the best education we can possibly give them. Recognizing our responsibility to maintain an educational system which will provide the best possible preparation to all our youth for full and productive lives in this modern world. As the world unfolds before you, may the designs upon the trestle board of life contain happiness, love and freedom as part of the educational process and achievement of human life. The Board of Education sincerely extends to you, the Class of 1970, congratulations and best wishes. Leslie L. Worrell President, Board of Education 8

Mr. Roland Vanderbilt Principal Mr. Donald Little Superintendent I believe that schools are institutions which are operated for the better- ment of our society. Students should take advantage of their opportunity to study because education is of utmost importance in the enrichment of their lives. To be a good citizen a person must be intellectually, morally, physi- cally, and spiritually prepared in order to find a place in this increasingly complex world. A good education increases his chance for real success. 9 Roland H. Vanderbilt
