Mr. Donald Little Superintendent Mr. Gerald Dorsch Principal Personal Message by Mr. Dorsch The more deeply one delves into the many phases of education, the more one realizes the many facets of life which are opened with a good education. Together with this comes the realization of the vital place in education held by schools comparable to the Hope Schools in size and quality. In this era of disorder, discrimination, and dropouts, it is the small school and community which continues to instill a feeling of respect for others, for their rights and for their property. We should truly thank God for the small schools and the com- munities which support them. 10

Mr. Jacobson, Mr. Scott, Mr. Kuhn, Mr. Fry, Mr. Worrell, Mrs. Oesterreich UNIFIED SCHOOL BOARD When we examine this modern life with all of its stress, strain, and strife, the need of a well-rounded education becomes even more apparent to each of us. As we analyze this necessity, we are aware of the basic qualifications of an educational institution and system which offers the youth of our community the essentials needed in accomplishing this purpose. It is our sincere hope that as you seniors have journeyed through the lo- cal elementary and secondary levels of learning that you have found these el- ements present in our schools. As you continue your additional education and as you reflect upon your recent high school career, may each one of you ex- claim, Those were the days. This may be interpreted to mean, that it was during this journey, that the realization came to you, knowledge alone is not enough, but knowledge applied, is the beginning of personal power for achieve- ment by each individual. May you also have learned, good fortune comes to each one who strives for good manners, good sense, and honorable persist- ency of purpose; for these are the real tools of success. Someone has written, Today 1 am determined to study to improve my- self, for tomorrow I may be wanted, and I must not be found lacking. May you discover that the most pleasing path of life passes through the avenues of learning. The Board of Education extends to you, the class of 1969, congratulations and best wishes. May your path lead, Ever Onward. 9 Personal Message by Mr. Fry
