Memories These are the buildings where we have spent another rewarding school year. What does it mean to us? First and foremost it means an education. These are the classrooms where we studied and learned. Most of the time we really got down to business, not only to get an impressive grade to show our parents, but to gain more knowledge to curb that inadequate feeling we’ll have when we face an adult world. But these buildings hold more than a formal eduction for us. We experience the anticipation and excitement of a pep rally before a big football game. There were the crazy antics of beatnik students during Sponge Week and the formal atmosphere of Dress Up Day with girls in high heels and boys in suits and ties. What could equal the thrill the actors felt the moment the curtain rose on the senior play? The musicians in the school delighted at hearing the playback of a snappy cha-cha the stage band had just recorded. And basketball—this is the game that taught us all sportsmanship; this is the year we learned how to be good winners; this, to many students, athletes, and girls alike, was the most exciting part of the whole school year. Then there was the romance of the Junior-Senior Banquet which the juniors had as much fun preparing as the seniors did receiving. These are the buildings that will leave cherished memories with us when our high school days have ended.
