Sophomore Women Take Nykerk Cup The climax of Parent’s Weekend came in the form of the Nykerk Cup Competition held November 6. The Sophomore Class captured the cup before a standing-room only crowd at the Holland Civic Center. The program began with the freshman song, ‘'S'Wonderful. The class of '80 presented as their play ‘‘The Thwarting of Baron Bolli- grew. Their orator was Michelle Ricci. The sophomores sang Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where Where You’re Going To?), with the oration given by Pam Kirby. The Competition ended with the sophomore play, The Little Prince. B 24 Even!»

 Vespers Brings Tradition and Controversy Before three capacity crowds, the annual Christmas Vespers was performed December 5 by the Brass Ensemble, Chapel Choir and College Chorus. Mixed feelings, unique to this Vespers, were caused by the Music Department’s decision to charge admission. According to the Music Department, this was done to insure attendance by the ticket recipient. 26 Event»
