Built shortly after the turn of the century, Van Raalte Hall provides the first evidence of the impact of the Lubbers' administration on Hope's campus. Renovation of classroom facilities, remodeling of the main floor as a home for admini- strative ofifices, provision for an office of the student government, and development through the KoFfee Kletz and television lounge toward a student union give some indication of the scope of efforts made to improve this center of college activity. gb LEAVES FALL

Blood, sweat, and tears are not peculiar to Sir Winston Churchill's wartime Eng- land, but are shed annually at C1 phenomenon occurring on the banks of the Black River.
